Grand opening ceremony of Annual Sports Week

J&K Police Public School Miran Sahib Jammu hosted a grand opening ceremony of Annual Sports Week in the school premises. The ceremony was graced by Shri Joginder Singh, JKPS, Senior Superintendent of Police, District Jammu as Chief Guest and Shri Suram Singh, JKPS, Commandant JKAP-8th Bn., Nodal Officer of school and Shri I.H Rather, JKPS, SP Headquarters, Jammu. The event marked the beginning of exciting Sports activities, filled with promise and opportunities for students.

The ceremony commenced with a warm welcome by Shri Rajeev Sharma, Principal, J&K PPS Miran Sahib Jammu followed by cultural performances by the students. Principal expressed his heartfelt gratitude towards the Chief Guest, Guest of Honor and other dignitaries present for sparing their valuable time from their busy schedule and gracing the occasion with their esteemed presence.
Shri Joginder Singh, JKPS, SSP District Jammu in his inspiring address emphasized the importance of sports and games and maintaining physical fitness. He said “the determined efforts of J&K Police to control the problem of drug addiction among youths are being putting in place and further advised the school students to refrain from the drugs as well as excessive use of mobile phones”. He highlighted how these aspects are critical for holistic development and success in life. He encouraged the students to uphold the values of discipline and integrity while striving for excellence in all aspects of life. He also expressed his confidence in J&K Police Public School Miran Sahib Jammu stating that he firmly believes the students of school excel not only academically but also in sports and other co-curricular activities. He also took the opportunity to felicitate the students who have achieved milestones in their respective sports discipline and cultural activities at International and National Level Competitions.

The ceremony concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Anju Sharma, Headmistress acknowledging the efforts and unwavering support provided by Ms. Sarah Rizvi, IPS, DIG IRP Range, Jammu, the Administrative Officer, J&K PPS Miran Sahib Jammu who could not attend the ceremony due to some pressing commitments. She also praised distinguished guests, staff and everyone who contributed to make this event a success.
