Closing ceremony of Annual Sports Week

The Annual Sports Week at J&K Police Public School Miran Sahib Jammu which commenced on 26-11-2024, concluded with resounding success, leaving an indelible mark on the students, staff and community. The closing ceremony was graced by Shri Anand Jain, IPS, Additional Director General of Police, Jammu Zone, Jammu as Chief Guest,Ms. Sarah Rizvi, IPS, DIG IRP Range, Jammu as Guest of Honor and Shri Suram Singh, JKPS, Commandant JKAP-8th Bn. The event marked the culmination of exciting Sports activities, filled with promises and opportunities for students.
The closing ceremony commenced with a warm welcome of esteemed guests by Shri Rajeev Sharma, Principal, J&K PPS Miran Sahib Jammu followed by cultural performances by the students. Principal expressed his heartfelt gratitude towards the Chief Guest, Guest of Honor and other dignitaries present for sparing their valuable time from their busy schedule and gracing the occasion with their esteemed presence.
In his address, Shri Anand Jain, IPS, ADGP Jammu Zone, Jammu expressed immense happiness over the participation of students in sports activities. He emphasized the importance of cultivating team spirit and sportsmanship as vital life skills. He also advised the students to maintain balance between success and failure, urging them to treat both with equal grace and resilience.
Ms. Sarah Rizvi, IPS, DIG IRP Range, Jammu, Administrative Officer, J&K Police Public School Miran Sahib Jammu also extended congratulations to all the students who actively participated in the sports activities. She commended their enthusiasm, dedication and sportsmanship which made this week a vibrant celebration of talent and teamwork. Expressing her hope for continuation of such initiatives, Ms. Sarah Rizvi, IPS highlighted the positive impacts of sports on students’ personal and academic growth. She emphasized the importance of maintaining a balance between academics and physical activities to nurture well-rounded individuals. She also took the opportunity to commend Shri Rajeev Sharma, Principal, J&K PPS Miran Sahib Jammu as well as teaching and non-teaching staff of school for their tireless efforts in organizing wonderful Annual Sports Week.
The highlight of event was the declaration of the winning house, Subash House, which emerged as the overall champion of the Annual Sports Meet of J&K Police Public School Miran Sahib Jammu. The ADGP, Jammu Zone, Jammu congratulated the students and staff of Subash House for their outstanding performances and extended best wishes to Runner up House encouraging them strive for greater success in the next annual sports meet.
The ceremony concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Anju Sharma, Headmistress acknowledging the efforts and unwavering support provided by Ms. Sarah Rizvi, IPS, DIG IRP Range, Jammu, the Administrative Officer, J&K PPS Miran Sahib Jammu. She also praised distinguished guests, staff and everyone who contributed to make this event a success.
