JKPPS Jammu celebrated Ram Navami, Baisakhi and Ambedkar Jayanti with full festive fervour. The special assembly began with Ramnavami celebrations. The choir group from class VIII presented a melodious bhajan 'Thumak Chalat Ramchandra'. The budding actors of class V presented a skit on the Lav-Kush, to make students learn and imbibe the qualities of courage and knowledge. The life history of Dr BR Ambedkar was presented next by students of class 7 through a speech. The students also explained the Preamble of constitution and the meanings of important words like Sovereignty, Republic, Equality, etc. The aim was to make children aware about the Indian Values. Last but not the least was Baisakhi celebration which started with a small skit to elaborate the history and importance of the festival and commenced with a foottapping Bhangra performance. Entire school performed Bhangra on the rythm of Dhol Jageero Da. The principal Mrs Renuka Guleria, addressed the students and gave away prizes to the students who won the Preamble Quiz. The message of UNITY in DIVERSITY was delivered to the students in a fun-filled way.
