INCEPTION OF OUR JOURNEY
- The Police Public School was initially started in 1976 as a "Day Care Centre" in DPL Jammu for the children of serving Police women. In 1994, the name of the school was changed to " Bal Niketan". In 2004, school was shifted from DPL Jammu to New Campus, Miran Sahib Jammu. The first batch of class 10th appeared in 2005-06 and class 12th in 2007-08. The school is affiliated with State Board of School Education Jammu. The campus is divided into landscaped areas, playgrounds and institutional infrastructures and provides a healthy and stress-free learning environment for children. Our classrooms are well-lit, airy and spacious and are fitted with requisite teaching-learning aids and equipment.
- We have well equipped labs for Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Social Sciences, English language and ICT. Our art, craft and performing arts departments provide a wide range of facilities for drawing, painting, dance and music. Our art school 'Art Arcade' houses three spacious studios where children work on different art forms. We have an air-conditioned multi-purpose activity hall to organize special events and an open-air theatre for presenting plays and other cu-curricular activities.
